Basic Hair Henna Recipe

This simple recipe uses only water and henna powder for maximum purity.

Ingredients

• 100g pure henna powder
• Warm water (enough to make a yogurt-like consistency)

Mixing Instructions

1. Add warm water gradually to the henna powder in a non-metallic bowl
2. Mix thoroughly until you achieve a smooth, yogurt-like consistency
3. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap, ensuring it's touching the surface of the paste
4. Let it sit for 8-12 hours at room temperature for dye release

Application Instructions

1. Section clean, dry hair
2. Apply petroleum jelly along hairline to prevent skin staining
3. Apply mixture generously to hair sections using a brush
4. Cover hair with a shower cap
5. Leave on for 2-4 hours
6. Rinse thoroughly with water (no shampoo)

The final color will develop over 48-72 hours. Wait at least 48 hours before shampooing.
